My Warframe Guide to Galvanized Mods and Weapon Arcanes
Hey, Tenno. If you've been staring at Steel Path enemies and wondering why your once-trusty rifle suddenly hits like a wet noodle, I've been there too. The jump from normal Star Chart missions to Steel Path can feel brutal, but that difficulty spike is exactly why Galvanized mods and weapon arcanes exist. They are the bridge between a comfortable loadout and a loadout that actually shreds high-level Grineer. I want to walk you through what these systems are, how to unlock them, and which items I would prioritize first. This is all still super relevant in 2026, especially now that melee Galvanized mods and new arcanes have expanded the sandbox.

What Are Galvanized Mods?
Galvanized mods are a special category of mods introduced with the Sisters of Parvos update. I think of them as the grown-up versions of staple mods like Serration, Split Chamber, and Point Blank. They come in two parts: a strong initial bonus and an on-kill effect that builds up stacks. The key thing is that once you land enough kills, these mods are roughly two to three times more powerful than their standard counterparts.
One huge quality-of-life detail I love is the stack decay behavior. Unlike most kill-related buffs in Warframe, Galvanized mods only lose one stack at a time when the duration expires. So if you have four stacks of Galvanized Diffusion and the timer runs out, you drop to three stacks instead of losing everything. It makes the buffs much easier to maintain during normal play.
Cost-wise, these are rare mods with ten ranks. To max one out, you will need 30,690 Endo and 1,482,327 Credits. That is not cheap, especially if you are gearing up multiple weapons at once, so plan your Endo spending carefully.

How To Obtain Galvanized Mods
All Galvanized mods come from the Arbitration Honors vendor. You will find this vendor in the Arbiters of Hexis syndicate room inside any Relay. Every Galvanized mod costs 20 Vitus Essence. That means you need to farm Arbitrations, so let me explain how to unlock those.
Arbitration missions unlock after you complete every node on the standard Star Chart. You do not need Railjack or Steel Path nodes, which is a relief. Once unlocked, you can earn Vitus Essence by surviving in Arbitration missions and destroying Arbitration Drones.

For a low-risk farming strategy, I usually run the first four rotations in a mission, so rotations A, A, B, then C, before leaving. Each rotation has a 7% chance to drop a bundle of three Vitus Essence. It is not a guaranteed payout, but over a few runs you should see some bundles.
If you really want to farm efficiently, wait until the Arbitration is an Excavation. Excavation is the fastest mode because you get a reward after only two successful excavators. I like bringing Warframes such as Nekros, Khora, Nova, or Frost. They each bring utility or damage that makes the mission much easier. Just be careful with Arbitration Drones, because they are immune to ability damage. And yes, I always use a Resource Booster. It doubles the Vitus Essence you get from slain drones. A Smeeta Kavat is also nice because its Charm can double your resources for a couple of minutes.

Primary And Secondary Weapon Arcanes
The Sisters of Parvos update also introduced weapon arcanes for primary and secondary weapons. These are separate from Warframe arcanes, and they add huge base damage bonuses once you meet a kill condition. Your first set will likely come from Acolytes, those special boss enemies that spawn in Steel Path missions.

Before you can socket a weapon arcane, though, you need a Weapon Arcane Adapter. These adapters are sold by Teshin for 15 Steel Essence each. They are one-time use, just like Exilus Adapters, so you will need one for every weapon you want to upgrade. I always recommend planning ahead before spending that Steel Essence.

Unlocking Steel Path And Farming Steel Essence
Steel Path is essentially a New Game Plus mode for the Star Chart. To unlock it, complete every node on the standard Star Chart and then speak to Teshin. You can toggle the mode from the right-hand menu on the Star Chart screen. Enemies become much tougher, but resources and mods drop twice as often, and Acolytes have a chance to spawn.

For Steel Essence, I focus on Steel Path Incursions. These are daily missions that award five Steel Essence each. Complete all five and you get 25 Steel Essence, which is just short of two Weapon Arcane Adapters. If you want more, run endurance missions and kill Acolytes as they spawn. Bring Khora, Nekros, and a Smeeta Kavat to potentially double your drops. A Resource Booster helps too.

Acolyte Weapon Arcanes Worth Targeting
There are many weapon arcanes in the current sandbox, but if you are just getting into this system, the six Acolyte arcanes are a perfect starting point. Here is what they do at Rank 5.
| Arcane Name | On Kill Effect | Passive Buffs |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Merciless | +30% Damage for 4s, stacks up to 12x | +30% Reload Speed, +100% Ammo Maximum |
| Primary Deadhead | +60% Damage for 24s, stacks up to 3x | +30% Headshot Multiplier, -50% Weapon Recoil |
| Primary Dexterity | +60% Damage for 20s, stacks up to 6x | +7.5s Combo Duration, +60% Holster Speed |
| Secondary Merciless | +30% Damage for 4s, stacks up to 12x | +30% Reload Speed, +100% Ammo Maximum |
| Secondary Deadhead | +60% Damage for 24s, stacks up to 3x | +30% Headshot Multiplier, -50% Weapon Recoil |
| Secondary Dexterity | +60% Damage for 20s, stacks up to 6x | +7.5s Combo Duration, +60% Holster Speed |

Final Thoughts
If you are stuck at the normal-to-Steel Path wall, my honest advice is to start small. Pick up Galvanized Chamber or Galvanized Diffusion first, then grab a Primary Merciless or Secondary Merciless arcane. Those two changes alone can transform how your favorite weapon feels. From there, branch out into the status and critical chance Galvanized mods, and eventually the melee options. The grind for Vitus Essence and Steel Essence is real, but trust me, the power spike is absolutely worth it. Good luck out there, Tenno.
